Are there running time limits on the equipment?

Yes, rental rates are based on actual running time, as measured by hour meters on the equipment, of 8 hours per Day, 40 hours per Week, and 160 hours per 4-Week rental period. The running time calculation is used in combination with the Day, Week, and 4-Week rental period described in “What periods of time can I rent equipment?”. Charges for additional “running time” hours are calculated as follows:
Day:  1/8th of the daily rental rate for additional hours over 8 hours.
Week:  1/40th of the week rental rate for additional hours over 40 hours.
4-Week:  1/160th of the 4-week rental rate for additional hours over 160 hours.

How are additional charges calculated on rented items that are returned later than the DUE IN TIME on the rental contract?

Hourly:  You will be charged for the total time the item is in your possession times the hourly rate, not to exceed the DAY rate.
Overnight:  You will lose the benefit of the reduced overnight rate and be charged the DAY rate.
Day:  You will be charged on the basis of 1/6th of the DAY rate per hour, not to exceed the Day, or if available, the reduced second Day rate.
Week:  You will be charged on the basis of 1/5th of the Week rate.
4-Week:  You will be charged on the basis of 1/20th of the 4-Week rate.

What is Damage Waiver?

D & G Rent-All's rental agreement holds the customer totally responsible for all loss or damage to rented items. The Damage Waiver reduces your responsibility for loss or damage to rented items with some limitations and responsibilities on the customer’s part. The Damage Waiver rate is 8% of the rental rate, however, some items are higher. The Damage Waiver charge is automatically added to your rental contract unless you specifically request and sign off that you do not want Damage Waiver at the time you first rent an item. Open account customers must request and sign a form that states they do not want Damage Waiver. This is only an explanation of Damage Waiver and does not constitute the full agreement between D & G Rent-All and the customer. The full Damage Waiver clause is printed on our rental agreement. Damage Waiver is not insurance.

What are the advantages of renting?

Think! The original purchase cost is only the beginning of the cost of ownership!
Minimum inventory – Ownership can be very expensive when equipment is idle. Hey, you bought it because the rental charge was going to be ½ of the purchase price, you used it once, and now it sits never to be used again.
Right equipment for the job – Eliminate the hidden costs of inefficiency due to the use of the wrong size or type of equipment.
Storage – Where are you going to keep all that Stuff you want to own?
Breakdowns – All equipment is subject to breakdowns. However, when rented equipment breaks down idle time is minimized through replacement by D & G Rent-All.
Maintenance – Rented equipment includes full maintenance. You can forget about the costs of a repair shop, spare parts inventory, and record keeping.
Equipment obsolescence – Ownership of equipment involves the risk of rising labor costs and slower job completion time due to owning worn, obsolete models when new, better, faster models are available from D & G Rent-All.
Disposal costs – Yes, you can always sell your purchased equipment after you have finished using it. But what about your time and the cost involved in the sale? Isn’t time one of our most precious possessions today? When you rent you simply return the equipment to us, you’re done.
Cost control – Knowing the true cost of owned equipment is difficult. Rented equipment offers you just one cost figure, the rental invoice.
Inventory costs – Ok, you purchased all that stuff and took it to the job site, now who will be in charge of keeping track of the equipment and how will they do this? When you rent, we will invoice you on a periodic basis, which will remind you that you have the equipment. Our equipment is well identified and less subject to pilferage, and as soon as you are done with the rented equipment it can be removed from the job site.
Conservation of capital – Renting can free up capital for other more profitable uses and borrowing may be easier due to a better ratio of assets to liabilities.

Do you have a rental-purchase plan?

No.  However, we will consider certain situations as they arise. You must contact us during the initial rental period for any consideration on our part to allowing you to apply rental charges to the purchase of the item rented. In other words, just because you rented an item for an extended time and paid substantial rent charges does not automatically entitle you to say you want to purchases the equipment and believe you will pay some minimal charge for this purchase.
